I dont know what I would rather do. I think the charter gig would be more fun and less corperate. However i believe a commercial airline gig would be better pay and all around more “secure” (if secure is even a word i can use in the job market) I would love to here some feed back from both sides. Thanks!

I need to find options for regularly (5-10 times/week) transporting 25-35 upscale American guests from San Diego and greater Los Angeles to Ensenada, Mexico (85 miles south of the border).
* Ensenada’s airport (ESE) can accommodate turboprop and private jet aircraft.
* ESE serves as an international “port of entry”, meaning passengers from the US can clear directly into Ensenada.
I’m also open to other creative solutions. The travel will “bookend” our guests’ visit, so it must be relaxed and stress free–especially since most guests, rightly or wrongly, have reservations about traveling in Mexico. Read the rest of this entry

Any alternatives to get my large dog from US to UK?
We are planning to move to London this fall/winter and are investigating how we can get our 80lb dog there. I’m really hesitant to put him on a plane as cargo. I wish I could pay for a seat for him.
Anyway, I’ve heard that people have chartered flights (the unused leg) for this purpose – anyone have info on it? Also, I read that there’s a cruise ship that allows smaller dogs – the Cunard, but I think our dog is too big.
Anyone have a private jet or yaht that I could borrow?
Any other suggestions?
thanks for the suggestions so far. The rules have changed with regards to bringing a dog into the UK – they no longer require the quarantine, but you do need to vaccinate, microchip, and get a blood test before they’ll certify your dog to come into the country. A bit of a pain, but much better than a quarantine.
I would buy a seat for my dog, but haven’t yet found an airline that would allow it. I’ve heard stories of people seeing large dogs in the cabin, but I think they must’ve been service dogs.
