private pilots license
walternet_2000 asked:

I am planning on attending a flight school to get a private pilots license. However due to current time commitments I will not be able to start attending for a few months. However, I would like to start familiarizing myself with the academic portions of the course. Are there any suggestions on books I can start studying/reading that will benefit me in preparation for the course? Not sure if this matters, but I will be training in the San Francisco bay area, California.

It may sound like a dumb question, I’m sorry if it is. I’m just curious, I’m interested in learning to fly both.
First answer, Will have to make a choice between the two or can I do both? If I can do both, how will a helicopter flight view my flight experience in the fixe wing air craft? Will I have to go through the same initial training such as ground school?

Taken at the Lake Bemidji (Minnesota) fly-in a few years ago, this video shows the fun that can be had with powered parachutes during the winter. Activities such as bomb drop and carrier landing are shown. Hope you enjoy it. If you like it, check out my other videos here.

I know that I can split the cost of aircraft rental, fuel costs, etc with other people i am flying. But how does flying for charity work. I don’t think I can make money by flying for charity. Is it possible for the organization to pay for all of the plane rental and fuel costs?

Also I will be getting my private pilots license soon, and do any of you know any charitable organizations that I can fly for to gain hours without spending all of my money. Specifically around southwestern Connecticut and new york city. Thanks

I know this is normal for top execs to fly everywhere in executive jets. But, this just shows a lack of common sense on the executives part. Take the jet anywhere- just not to a hearing where your begging for 50 billion dollars of Americans money. Without common sense, how can you expect these executives to be capable of running such a company. This just wasn’t smart. Plain and simple. If you want public sentiment, fly Southwest then stay at a Hampton Inn. Leak the story to the media, and you would get public sentiment and your 50b. Give the public something to work with. Everyone knows you don’t meet the IRS wearing your good jewelry. C’mon guys- common sense.
