Fiesta C asked: We are planning to move to London this fall/winter and are investigating how we can get our 80lb dog there. I’m really hesitant to put him on a plane as cargo. I wish I could pay for a seat for him.
Anyway, I’ve heard that people have chartered flights (the unused leg) for this purpose – anyone have info on it? Also, I read that there’s a cruise ship that allows smaller dogs – the Cunard, but I think our dog is too big.
Anyone have a private jet or yaht that I could borrow?

Any other suggestions?

Kat Woman asked: We are paying for our guests (about 70 people varying from ages 13-85 with the medium age around 30) to take a 7 night 8 day trip to London with us for our wedding.
So far we have;
-Managed to secure a private plane (its actually half as much to charter a plane compared to buying uncomfortable, longer commercial flights),
-Get hotel rooms in a comfortable hotel (The Landmark of London).
-Got luxury buses to get them to and from all the places they need to go (airport to the hotel, to the wedding and back, etc)
-Purchased London Pass Card with Travel (for the buses, underground, and any public transportation. Also this card gives them discounts, or free entrance to tons of things around the city)
-Paid for Breakfast and tea at the hotel every day.
-Have a hold with a company to purchase pay as you go cell phones for the week for everyone
-Planned out bags for the plane to keep everyone occupied and happy, food, magazines, mp3 players, books, etc (6 hour flight)
-Planned out very exact welcome bag with toiletries, first aid kits, guides, Disposable digital cameras, outlet convertors, itineraries etc
-Planned optional outings for every day except two (soccer game, theater at west end, country side and Stonehenge tour, walking tour of London, etc)
-Paid hotel to empty mini bar, and replace it will appropriate treats for each person by room for no pay (my parents are diabetics, so they are getting diets sodas, etc )
-Got flats for the women during the wedding for dancing
-Have toiletry baskets for the bathrooms at the castle
-Parasols, and fans ordered for walking through the gardens during the cocktail hour
-Laundry service paid for at the hotel for all our guests
If you were a guest what could we do for you, within reason, to make it more comfortable for you during the trip?
Aw, eighties, that sweet but to be honest I think they would be very dissapointed if they found me, we are not rich just know how to manage our funds and spend money where it matters. I wish I were a million, alas I have quite a few years til I could imagine that.

Ashley please grow up, I never understand the idea of being spiteful to someone else, especially someone you don’t know.

Fiesta C asked: Any alternatives to get my large dog from US to UK?

thanks for the suggestions so far. The rules have changed with regards to bringing a dog into the UK – they no longer require the quarantine, but you do need to vaccinate, microchip, and get a blood test before they’ll certify your dog to come into the country. A bit of a pain, but much better than a quarantine.
I would buy a seat for my dog, but haven’t yet found an airline that would allow it. I’ve heard stories of people seeing large dogs in the cabin, but I think they must’ve been service dogs.

I like Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.Sarah Palin She supports drilling in Anwhar.Who would know better than her because she’s from Alaska,Nobody would know better than her.I would love to see a liberal debate her on Iraq why?She has a son in Iraq.
Sarah Palin is now the most popular governor in America.
When Sen. Barack Obama was prepared to announce his choice for running mate, it was noted that a private jet had been chartered the night before to fly between Illinois and Deleware, the home of Joe Biden.
Now that a private jet was chartered from Alaska to Ohio, landing late last night. The plane landed at Hook Field Municipal, located just one county over from the location of the announcement, Dayton.
