  1. acoolll says:

Its call a sailplane or just a glider.

The aircraft itself may be called an “unpowered aircraft,” a “glider,” or a “sailplane.” Strictly speaking, a sailplane is an advanced glider with the highest level of performance, including the ability to soar on local updrafts. All gliders can soar, but sailplanes do it well, and can stay in the air for hours at a time.

The process of towing an unpowered airplane up to a starting altitude from which it can glide or soar is simply called “glider towing.” Most towing is done by special “tow planes” with increased power for the purpose.

Unpowered aircraft may also be launched with a winch and cable, or by towing with an automobile or truck.

You should be able to find lots of information on the internet by searching on “unpowered flight” or “glider flying.”

    Good luck!
