What type of person or company will use the new very light jets as “air taxi’s” instead of using the airline

The big Idea asked:

With the new very light jets that are comming out do you believe people will switch from using airlines or driving long distances. What type of person or company do you feel will make this switch. Do you feel an “air taxi” system that books these planes on a per seat on demand basis instead of the current whole plane charter system will be created. How much would you pay to avoid the hassles of the current air travel system. I am doing market research on the subject and value your input.

Getting my large dog from US to UK – alternatives?

Any alternatives to get my large dog from US to UK?
We are planning to move to London this fall/winter and are investigating how we can get our 80lb dog there. I’m really hesitant to put him on a plane as cargo. I wish I could pay for a seat for him.
Anyway, I’ve heard that people have chartered flights (the unused leg) for this purpose – anyone have info on it? Also, I read that there’s a cruise ship that allows smaller dogs – the Cunard, but I think our dog is too big.
Anyone have a private jet or yaht that I could borrow? :)
Any other suggestions?
thanks for the suggestions so far. The rules have changed with regards to bringing a dog into the UK – they no longer require the quarantine, but you do need to vaccinate, microchip, and get a blood test before they’ll certify your dog to come into the country. A bit of a pain, but much better than a quarantine.
I would buy a seat for my dog, but haven’t yet found an airline that would allow it. I’ve heard stories of people seeing large dogs in the cabin, but I think they must’ve been service dogs.
